An engagement that began as general administrative assistance for a single consultant transitioned to organization-wide marketing and process management support. With an organizational focus on expansion and client diversification, I am providing support + project management around salesforce.com integration to complementary platforms, launch of a podcast, social media presence and increased brand awareness.
This four year (and counting) engagement began as simple office support - scheduling + admin. Today it's evolved to an Operations Director role coordinating the candidate experience. With a love for learning about people and a passion for writing, I spend 2-3 hours interviewing all final candidates then creating a 10+ page summary report to present to the client prior to the interview. It's a privilege to learn people's stories and responsibility to share feedback with the client that has retained the firm for their important hire.
This comprehensive, eight year engagement began immediately after company inception. The extensive work included initial corporate structure setup including accounting, business licensing and registration. All day-to-day accounting and administrative functions were included in the scope. Authoring a Small Business Association (SBA) loan package, which included a complete company overview, projections, marketing plans, etc. and the subsequent approval, was a big win for this engagement!
Spun off from a large organization, this newly formed business was essentially a start-up. Engagement included establishing the framework for the organization including business registration, setup of the accounting + payroll system, website content creation, establishing HR policies + procedures, authoring an employee handbook and workflow integration. Ongoing day-to-day support included all administrative, accounting and HR functions.
Like other engagements, this one started with a small scope ~ help a partner manage their calendar and become more efficient. Quickly the work shifted organization-wide to support the other partners and firm as-a-whole. When their billing administrator left, I stepped in and filled the gap. Today, the engagement includes financial and HR support, mentoring and a hodgepodge of tasks unique to their firm. They are a perfect example of a relationship that has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of the organization.
One of the most fulfilling engagements I've had! A college professor seeking tenure hired me to help her achieve her goal. Paying personally, out-of-pocket (showing her dedication to achieving tenure), I worked closely to increase her efficiency, streamline her focus and best utilize her talents. Scheduling and general admin support, along with interaction with her students and preparing a comprehensive tenure package was the foundation of the engagement. Her win was my win when she received tenure!
